STEINBECK WINE COUNTRY 8^TH ANNUAL SPRING OPEN HOUSE

SET FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 6

Salinas, CA - March 25, 2002 - The tasting rooms of the Salinas Valley announced today that the Steinbeck Wine Country Eighth Annual Spring Open House will take place on Saturday, April 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Seven tasting rooms will be providing live music, hors d’oeuvres, and wine tasting and many will be sharing their new releases and special library selections.

Joanne Manzoni, spokesperson for the Steinbeck Wine Country Tasting Rooms, stated, “The Steinbeck Spring Open House is always a special event for the Salinas Valley. This year’s celebration has even more meaning as we celebrate the 100^th anniversary of John Steinbeck’s birth.” She continued, “We hope that residents and visitors to the area alike will join us and enjoy this wonderful day.”

The tasting rooms participating in the open house are: Blackstone Winery, Chalone Vineyard, Cloninger, Hahn Estates/Smith & Hook Winery, Jekel Vineyards, Paraiso Springs Vineyards, and Scheid Vineyards. Reservations are not required.
