COMING UP ON OCTOBER 20 & 21

FEATURING PUMPKIN CONTEST & FAMILY ACTIVITIES

Greenfield, CA - October 10, 2001 - Scheid Vineyards will be holding its Great Pumpkin Festival on October 20^th and 21^st from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its tasting room in Greenfield. As part of this festive weekend event, pumpkin growers of all ages are invited to participate in the Great Pumpkin Contest on Saturday, October 20^th. The entrant with the biggest pumpkin will walk away with a first place prize of $300. Monetary awards will also be given for the most original pumpkin and the pumpkin with the most character. Entrants should bring their pumpkins to the tasting room by 11 a.m. Judging will begin at 2 p.m.

Seasonal food, award-winning wines and a multitude of activities will be featured at the Scheid Vineyards Great Pumpkin Festival. Family-oriented activities such as scarecrow making, pumpkin decorating and a pumpkin patch will be taking place all weekend and hay rides through the vineyards will be offered on Saturday.
