APPEARANCE ON "THE NEW COMPETITORS"

CA – March 3, 1998 – Scheid Vineyards Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: SVIN) today
announced that they will be appearing in the nationally broadcast television
series "THE NEW COMPETITORS", an independent production of
Telecast Production Group. This paid television series is broadcast
nationwide on CNBC, NBC’s business cable network, and will be aired
on Sunday, March 8, at 9:30 a.m. pacific time, 12:30 p.m. eastern time
on CNBC. Please check your local TV cable guide for the CNBC channel
in you area.
