CELEBRATE THE END OF TAX SEASON!!!

SCHEID VINEYARDS RELEASES

1998 MONTEREY CHARDONNAY

Marina del Rey, CA - April 18, 2000 - Getting a refund? Time to celebrate. Owe big bucks? Make yourself feel better. Filed an extension? Procrastination deserves to be rewarded, too. Anyway you look at it, there couldn't be a better time to try the exquisite wines of Scheid Vineyards.

In honor of the end of tax season, Scheid Vineyards Inc. (Nasdaq: SVIN) announced today the release of its 1998 Monterey Chardonnay, the latest in its "A Masterpiece in Every Bottle" series. The grapes for this delightful wine were handpicked during early October 1998 at 24.4 Brix. The juice was racked to 60 gallon French oak barrels and underwent 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging continued sur lie for seven months, with minimal stirring. The finished wine was bottled on July 12, 1999. With hints of pineapple and pear, this wine maintains a balanced structure and leaves the palate with a crisp, flavorful finish. At $18.00 per bottle, it is worth every penny.

All of the wines of Scheid Vineyards can be purchased by visiting our Tasting Room, located just off of Highway 101 at 1972 Hobson Avenue, Greenfield, California, or by calling our friendly and helpful staff at (888) 4SVIWINE (478-4946).
