Scheid Vineyards Debuts
Newest Location On Cannery Row
New Tasting Room Allows Guests to Swirl, Sip, Savor the Scheid
Lifestyle
For centuries, artists, adventurers, scientists and
seafarers have answered the siren's call of the fabled port of Monterey. They've
taken inspiration here and left behind a lasting, richly documented
legacy. Today, Scheid Vineyards
announced it will debut its newest tasting room on legendary Cannery Row in Fall 2008.
Located at 751 Cannery Row at Intercontinental The Clement Monterey, Scheid Vineyards’ 2,000 square foot
tasting room will be open daily. The tasting
room features a stylish design of coffered ceilings, recycled hickory floors,
rich mahogany paneling and vintage stucco walls that are reminiscent of the
history of Cannery Row, yet offer a modern twist of contemporary design.
Designed by Disrud & Associates from Healdsburg, California, the new tasting room is an elegant venue where
guests can escape the crowds and spend some time relaxing and sipping a glass
of Scheid wine. The space is divided
into three sections: retail, tasting bar
and lounge area with a fireplace. From
the rustic Carmel Valley stone surrounding the fireplace to the custom-carved wood bar and
stone counter, the Scheid Vineyards tasting room on Cannery Row offers an
upscale wine experience for wine lovers and novices alike.
Open daily, Scheid Vineyards Cannery Row will
provide tastings of Scheid wines and Scheid Reserve wines, educational classes
on winemaking and blending, and day trips to the vineyard, as well as an
expansive retail marketplace featuring a gourmet selection of local charcuterie
and cheeses from the Culinary Center of Monterey. For more information on the tour schedule to
the Scheid Vineyards winery, departing 4 days a week from the Cannery Row
tasting room, or the event schedule for Scheid Vineyards Cannery Row, visit the

Scheid Vineyards produces small lot, artisan wines
from ten estate vineyards in the heart of the Monterey County wine country. These diverse
sites span an array of soils, microclimates and sub-appellations, enabling
Scheid to unite a broad varietal experience under one label. Only the finest vineyard blocks are chosen
and only the best lots are selected for bottling.
Scheid Vineyards invites you to experience this
world at its tasting rooms, through the company’s event program and wine
club. Explore the abundant agriculture,
fresh cuisine and natural beauty for which the Monterey region is renowned at the Scheid Vineyard Tasting Room at 1972 Hobson Avenue in Greenfield. The tasting
room is open daily from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (831) 386-0316.
